I first noticed the problem when I tried to make Imagemagic port. But the gtk12 does not build correctly and others have problems as well. Undoing the change (removing the patch and removing and reinstalling autoconf seems to fix the problem) It appears that the square brackets are not carried into the configure file so various assignments get confused later on. >How-To-Repeat: Use autoconf as is and try to build Imagemagic.
