 i did. when xmms build failed while the gettext ports were
 installed, i deinstalled the gettext* ports. build ended w/ failure
 again.

 today, just for the hell of it, i tried again after de-installing
 gettext* ports again. build failed w/ this message...

 ===>  Building for xmms-1.2.7
 /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libintl.so.1" not found
 *** Error code 1

 ...ok, said i. after reinstalling gettext* ports, i tried yet again
 to build xmms. and what do you know, it built w/o problems!

 i happened to cvsup today, but the changes to either xmms or any of
 the gettext ports are listed for mar. 25 2002 utc (devel/gettext). (i
 had cvsup'd ports tree on mar. 26 2002 utc; see original message.)
