See also http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/config-network-setup.html for more about network card drivers. In this case, if you have a vr0 device on your system, that is most likely your ethernet card (or one of them if you have more than one). > Well, I appreciate your advice. Actually, I didn't learn any of what I know about Unix or networking from a class. I learned a little bit from coworkers and friends, but the vast majority I learned on my own by reading man pages, books, and various types of online documentation (the FreeBSD Handbook is a really fantastic resource for learning FreeBSD basics). I'm guessing that many others on this list learned what they know on their own, too. > beno Nick -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.4 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFE3P2L44NxFgGs4RMRCk+HAJ9yHF+n38gig9iXcUI/cPNurMxajACg1mTV uaO67MEVegV6rFAL83RQRqo= =+4lB -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
