One thing I have liked the most about freebsd boxes is that they dont crash much. But Im having trouble with one of mine. Its a 2.1R, 486/25 running apache 1.0.0 I think... I also run sco emulation because I moved the web from cern on a sco to apache on a freebsd in 10 seconds or less (or at least that felt like the goal at the time) In any event, it crashes and reboots around once a day. I know Im not giving a lot of details. Its because Im never at the monitor when it does it. Has anyone encountered any known problems with sco emulation? or with this version of apache? I do know that just before it flips out, if Im telnetted in, it will sometimes hang.. and once just before hand when I issues a 'man somthing' command it gave all sort of troff: groff: errors... So the whole thing goes unstable just before as opposed to a quick kernal panic. ------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Hovey -- shovey@buffnet.net root@buffnet.net
