Eh, it needs to be mentioned somewhere.  Broadcom wireless chips are quite 
common.  Given that it is a "frequently asked question" (or was before it was 
put into the FAQ) on the mailing lists and the hardware is still very 
prevalent and common, the FAQ seems like the most logical place.
