>Number: 1733 >Category: ports >Synopsis: Please replace some files in ports/japanese/elvis >Confidential: no >Severity: non-critical >Priority: medium >Responsible: freebsd-ports >State: open >Class: sw-bug >Submitter-Id: current-users >Arrival-Date: Sun Oct 6 08:00:03 PDT 1996 >Last-Modified: >Originator: MIHIRA Yoshiro >Organization: Yoshiro MIHIRA Keio Univ. Japan >Release: FreeBSD 2.2-960612-SNAP i386 >Environment: Installed jp-elvis. >Description: jp-elvis read and use startup file, `.elvisrc', not `.exrc'. Because Japanized elvis can use `set canna' and more localize definition in startup file. If these line is in `.exrc' file, nex/nvi [/usr/bin/vi] error these lines. But Original elvis man pages was written that startup file is `.exrc'. So I rewrite man pages to `.elvisrc'. >How-To-Repeat: `man elvis' after install jp-elvis via ports collection. >Fix: Please replace below files in ftp://freefall.cdrom.com/pub/incoming/jp-elvis.tar.gz elvis/Makefile (add editor category) elvis/patches/patch-aa elvis/patches/patch-ab (split patch-aa to two files) elvis/patches/patch-ac (patch for man page) >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
