Sender: owner-freebsd-hardware@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hey there, I'm about to get a new mouse because my logitech cordless desktop is showing it's age. Unknown Party Guest dumped a can of coke in the keyboard two years ago rendering it useless, so I've just been using the mouse. I don't know how many of you remember this thing, but if it were made of steel it would make a great wedge for splitting firewood. It's amazing how much my wrist hurts after 3 hours of quake3arena. I already know that the latest MouseMan optical USB works with FreeBSD. I wanted to know if anyone out there is already using it, and how they feel about it. Also, mebbe any pitfalls to avoid when installing it and getting the wheel support and 4th button working. If anyone already has the cordless optical that just hit the market, I'm interested in how it performs as well. The only review I've seen is on ZDnet, and it looks like they fabricated the review by reading the press release. The most compelling reason to justify the 75 dollar purchase price is that it looks like something captain kirk would use to shoot at klingons. If they make the receiver unit look like a tricorder, they'd have a neat marketing optty. Thanks In Advance. Best Regards, Scott Alan Wilson http://sawilson.org Use FreeBSD?
