X also working fine? > > thanks Hi I own a Zenith laptop (P266MMX) and all my hardware is supported, but I'd a lot of problems with my PCMCIA ethernet/modem card (Xircom CEM56) before the FreeBSD-4. I think this is the most important thing to consider before buying a laptop: choose a good network card. You can have a look at the list of supported cards.
