I just installed tin (pre-1.4 release 980818) on my 2.2.2 machine. It keeps running out of memory when I try to get a list of articles for a group. The error message reads: tin: memory exhausted trying to allocate 7057652 bytes in file ././memory.c line 91 The machine has 32Mb of physical RAM and a 43Mb swap partition. Right after tin bombs out, top(1) reports 12Mb of free RAM and 42Mb free swap. This ought to be plenty for a one-user machine. Is there a known issue with tin and memory allocations, or perhaps an arcane tin config option I don't know about? I was running tin in -r mode, if that makes a difference. -Scott To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
