X-BeenThere: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: User questions List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2010 16:42:57 -0000 Comparing my FreeBSD8 and FedoraLinux12 systems (both using KDE and running on the same computer Dell netbook) I notice on the Bottom bar monitoring CPU graph that the CPU under FreeBSD8 is in average 40% above the FedoraLinux12 -comparison for the exactly same type of computing tasks-.The warming of the netbook for example, after 1 hour running is clearly higher with FreeBSD8 than with FedoraLinux12. Is this SpeedStep not running on one system and running on the other,or is there something configurable on FreeBSD which must be done manually and it is not done automatically to approximate the charge on the CPU under FreeBSD to the FedoraLinux? Thanks.
