Product: Base System Version: 10.3-RELEASE Hardware: i386 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: misc@fagersrd.net CC: freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 175117 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D175117&action= =3Dedit GENERIC boot panic Soekris 4801 has Geode SC1100 which has broken i8254 timer, so I make a new kernel build adding "options CPU_SOEKRIS" and "options CPU_GEODE", but at l= east the GENERIC will boot in version 8.2 (which is the last version I did for t= his device) and then I proceed with a custom kernel. 10.3 refuses to complete booting, but both of these options are still availilible, so I made a custom kernel from a different machine and that one does the same thing. Include is both boot logs GENERIC and NET6801 that I made. I am assuming there was a change in the timers logic to panic instead of allowing this to continue. Below is the custom kernel and the attachment has the GENERIC kernel. Copyright (c) 1992-2016 The FreeBSD Project.
