But my UTC was generated today -r--r--r-- 4 root wheel 118 Dec 2 12:42 /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC when I did install world. It seems that this file has some sort of incompatibility with something (I have no idea what) which causes cvsup to dump core. So, removing the file fixes a symptom, but not the cause. --- Gary Jennejohn
