You can contact the maintainer, if he doesn't write back, ask here. But the best way would be to update the port by yourselfe in the following way. (That's how I do that) as root: mkdir ~/ports cd ~/ports ln -s /usr/ports/category/port port.orig cp -r port.orig port cd port # makeing all the changes here, test the ports and so on, you should # read the porters handbook, found on the FreeBSD's website cd ~/ports diff -Nur port.orig port > port.diff send-pr -a port.diff -c main@tain.er # set the real address here fill out the form and send the pr.
