I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 (FreeBSD 5.2-current of last year somewhere) hooked up to a ZyXEL switch (ES-108) and the activity LEDs (yellow/carrier, green/signal) stop lighting/flashing intermittently (the uplink goes to a 3COM 3300 switch). During this it happened that dhclient dumped core. Any ideas? Could it be a 10/100 Mb negotiation problem? Do I have a dying network adapter? -- Chris Christoph P. U.
