I use the isc-dhcp port with the following /usr/local/etc/dhcpd.conf:
-----dhcpd.conf-----
option domain-name "home.rdls.net";
option routers 10.0.0.1;
option domain-name-servers 10.0.0.1;
subnet 10.0.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 10.0.0.32 10.0.0.128;
}

I created a script within /usr/local/etc/rc.d to start the server,
which ultimately executes the command line: `/usr/local/sbin/dhcpd -q'
