If your /etc/ppp/ppp.conf is an adapted version of the example file, there should be already a line similar to this one in the "default:" section: default: ... set log Phase Chat LCP IPCP CCP tun command ... When you add TCP/IP at the end of this line, all TCP/IP packets will be logged in /var/log/ppp.log. Beware: This will generate a huge log file, so it should be used for debugging only. Once you know the packets that cause the connection to be initialized, you can build so-called dial-filters in order to prevent connections from being established or being kept alive for certain types of traffic.
