Dear Jerry, Do you use denyhosts in synchrozed mode? http://denyhosts.sourceforge.net/faq.html#4_0 Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem on FreeBSD 6.x and 7.x since I don't use synchronized mode. Can you contact the original author of Denyhosts? http://sourceforge.net/users/phil_schwartz/ Best Regards, Janos Mohacsi Head of HBONE+ project Network Engineer, Deputy Director of Network Planning and Projects NIIF/HUNGARNET, HUNGARY Key 70EF9882: DEC2 C685 1ED4 C95A 145F 4300 6F64 7B00 70EF 9882 On Wed, 7 Apr 2010, Jerry wrote: > Using denyhosts-2.6_3 from the ports system, I am finding the following > error message in the "/var/log/denyhosts" log file: > > <snippet> > 2010-04-07 07:45:25,818 - sync : ERROR <Fault 1: "exceptions.KeyError:'timestamp'"> > Traceback (most recent call last): > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/DenyHosts/sync.py", line 117, in receive_new_hosts > self.__prefs.get("SYNC_DOWNLOAD_RESILIENCY")) > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/xmlrpclib.py", line 1199, in __call__ > return self.__send(self.__name, args) > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/xmlrpclib.py", line 1489, in __request > verbose=self.__verbose > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/xmlrpclib.py", line 1253, in request > return self._parse_response(h.getfile(), sock) > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/xmlrpclib.py", line 1392, in _parse_response > return u.close() > File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/xmlrpclib.py", line 838, in close > raise Fault(**self._stack[0]) > Fault: <Fault 1: "exceptions.KeyError:'timestamp'"> > </snippet> > > This error message repeats anywhere from every hour to every three or > four hours.
