I ever used XKB with fr (6  Standard 101-key, French encoding) on FreeBSD,
but since 4.2, this keymap is wrong, alt gr(right alt) key biding for 
~#{[`\^@]} don't work anymore.

 use this entry in XF86Config XkbKeymap   "xfree86(fr)"

don't used XKB and used the old method but it's more a workaround than a fix.
