It's not possible to get 32/64K colours at 1280x1024 no matter how hard you try. You have 1280 x 1024 pixels = 1310720 pixels Each pixel will require 2 bytes, (32k colours=15 bits, 64k colours=16 bits) so therefore you will need 2621440 bytes (exactly 2.5Mb) 1152x864 64K colours should be possible with 2Mb though, The Win95 InControl tools that came with the card supported this mode, although you loose this mode when you install DirectX.
