"* Finally, default values for many things on 64-bit machines have been adjusted upward significantly to make proper use of available resources" Well that one should be fast to test, if it really makes so much difference. "* Scheduler rewrite" They threw out old scheduler and have instant gains? That's too good to be true, seeing as still some loathe ULE in FreeBSD after all this time. etc. I would like to see some independent benchmarks and not only Postgres too. If they are really onto something, that's good and I'm happy for them, as they were supposedly performance oriented projected, but it haven't show up in past benches. -- View this message in context: http://freebsd.1045724.n5.nabble.com/Re-new-DragonFly-3-2-scheduler-and-PostgreSQL-comparision-with-FreeBSD-9-1-RC1-tp5751589p5751862.html Sent from the freebsd-current mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
