Are there any warnings or error messages before it reboots? Did you try to do a tcpdump on the network to find out what happens? Exactly when does it reboot -- right after mounting the swap? Are you sure that the swap size is specified correctly? Note that it must be specified in Kbytes (not 512 byte blocks).
