Friedman >Release: 3.4-Stable (Book Version) >Organization: Radical Internet >Environment: Can not provide uname -a since it happens on install >Description: On my friend's SIS system with a "generic" 44x ATAPI CD-ROM it will boot the disk that comes with the paper version of Lehey's book. Once it goes through device probing and such (I tried messing with the vis config to no luck) once we get to the commit stage it says it can not find the CD-ROM (scrolling back into the dmesgs no Xcd's where found). Since all the hardware is "generic" (according to Micro$lut) and there are no manuals to speak of I can not provide too much more detail. >How-To-Repeat: Don's ask me ;-) [I have been a FreeBSD sysadmin since 2.0.5 ;-)] >Fix: Kill bad vendors and Bill ;-) >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
