If it makes any difference to know this, I am writing this mail on a PC
running 5.0-CURRENT on a Pentium 133, with exactly that amount of RAM.

Yes, FreeBSD runs like a charm on my hardware.  I have X11 installed, and when
I need to view some pages with images, I fire up Netscape to view them.  For
the rest of my every day work, I am pretty satisfied with screen running on my
/dev/ttyv1 :-)
