I have no problem with heavy loads - but you need to be sure you have
sufficient RAM and preferably CPU but RAM is the more important since not
enough will result in excessive swapping to disk.  If you use MMAP enabled
for some reason that will get you intro trouble - also be sure you have
enough nmbclusters defined - Ive noted sometimes if i run out due to being
underconfiged I lock up.
