Hi I'm running 3.1-STABLE and am having problems with ucd-snmp. I've tried versions 3.5.3, 3.6.1 and v4.0 pre 4. I get the following with all of them: snmpd loads up fine. As soon as I do an snmpwalk on the machine (snmpwalk -v 1 sticky.fingers.co.za mycommunity) it starts the walk. I get the following from the snmpwalk: system.sysDescr.0 = "FreeBSD sticky.fingers.co.za 3.1-STABLE FreeBSD 3.1-STABLE #22: Wed Mar i386" system.sysObjectID.0 = OID: enterprises.ucdavis.ucdSnmpAgent.freebsd system.sysUpTime.0 = Timeticks: (2591) 0:00:25.91 system.sysContact.0 = "Me <me@somewhere.org>" system.sysName.0 = "sticky.fingers.co.za" system.sysLocation.0 = "Right here, right now."system.sysServices.0 = 72system.sysORLastChange.0 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.1 = 1 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.2 = 2 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.3 = 3 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.4 = 4 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.5 = 5 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORIndex.6 = 6 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.1 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpModules.snmpMIB system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.2 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpModules.snmpM2M system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.3 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpModules.13 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.4 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpM odules.snmpFrameworkMIB.snmpFrameworkMIBConformance.snmpFrameworkMIBCompliances.snmpFrameworkMIBCompliance system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.5 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpModules.snmpMPDMIB.snmpMPDMIBConformance.snmpMPDMIBCompliances.snmpMPDCompliance system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORID.6 = OID: .iso.org.dod.internet.snmpV2.snmpModules.snmpUsmMIB.usmMIBConformance.usmMIBCompliances.usmMIBCompliance system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.1 = The Mib module for SNMPv2 entities. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.2 = The Manager-to-Manager MIB module. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.3 = View-based Access Control Model for SNMP. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.4 = The SNMP Management Architecture MIB. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.5 = The MIB for Message Processing and Dispatching. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORDescr.6 = The management information definitions for the SNMP User-based Security Model. system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.1 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.2 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.3 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.4 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.5 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.6 = Timeticks: (0) 0:00:00.00 Timeout: No Response from sticky.fingers.co.za after this, my /var/log/snmpd.log starts filling up, and carries on doing this until /var on the machine is totally full, eventually killing the box.
