I built and installed lapack from a fresh ports tree. This eliminated the gfortran optimization problem with [sd]lamch.f. Then, I built and installed scilab with the patch provided earlier and selected both options at config time. It works, except for the messages: # scilab (zterm:21209): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_set_geometry_hints: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed (zterm:21209): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_resize: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed (zterm:21209): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_freeze_toplevel_updates_libgtk_only: assertion `window != NULL' failed (zterm:21209): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_thaw_toplevel_updates_libgtk_only: assertion `private->update_and_descendants_freeze_count > 0' failed tomdean
