I have thought about implementing this by adding a "bridge group" virtual
interface to HARP. Multiple PVCs would attach to each bridge group, and
the interface would talk to ether_input() and ether_output(). There would
be special access lists for MAC and IP addresses.
Unfortunately, this is just another fun project, and it may be a while
before I have time to implement it.
If you like the idea, get TCP/IP Illustrated, Vol 2. It is an excellent
reference! It is almost a religious experience - read it just once, and
you will be on fire to start coding :-)

Agreed. Adding bridged encapsulation would instantly make FreeBSD a great
solution for all the people that need to terminate bridged PVCs.
