${LINUX_DIR}/etc/yp.conf:
domainname MyDomain
ypserver my.yp.server

doesn't help. :(

${LINUX_DIR}/etc/nsswitch.conf:

passwd:     files nis
shadow:     files nis
group:      files nis
hosts:      dns [NOTFOUND=return] files
netgroup:   nis
...
