First attempt at building GNOME 2.2 from ports appears to stop with the Gstreamer plugins. The earliest error message was: gmake [5]: ***[cothreads-gthreads] Error 1 gmake [5]: Leaving directory '/usr/ports/multimedia/gstreamer/work/gstreamer- 0.6.2/libs/ext/cothreads/tests' | | | v gmake [1]: ***[all recursive] Error 1 gmake [1]: Leaving directory ' /usr/ports/multimedia/gstreamer-0.6.2' gmake: ***[all] Error 2 *** Error code 2 Stop in /usr/ports/multimedia/gstreamer. Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/multimedia/gstreamer-plugins. Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/audio/gnomemedia2 Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome2 Before attempting the upgrade I cvsup'd my port tree, added macros WITH_FAM and WITH_LAME, and added "portmap_enable" to the /etc/rc.conf file. Then I deleted the GNOME 1.4 pkgs per the FAQ. I just cvsup'd my ports tree again and found the following pkgs in need of upgrade: ghostscript-gnu-7.07 librep-0.16.2 libxml12-2.5.7_1 libxslt-1.0.30 psiconv-0.8.3 python-2.2.3_1 rpm-3.0.6_6 sox-12.17.3_1 I noted a problem with the ghostscript file earlier. Apparently I will have to manually fetch Samsung-SmartGDI-all-GS.tar.gz because the "...modification time does not match the remote". Any advice?
