Hi,

I would like to know why "available space" + "used space" isn't equal to
"size".

580M +333M = 913M ( / )
2.5G + 780M = 3.28G (/usr)

There is a big difference...

su-2.04# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/da0s1a 992M 333M 580M 36% /
/dev/ad0s1e 740M 14M 667M 2% /home
/dev/vinum/raid0 3.6G 780M 2.5G 23% /usr
/dev/da0s1e 789M 204M 521M 28% /var
procfs 4.0K 4.0K 0B 100% /proc

su-2.04# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/da0s1a 1016303 340842 594157 36% /
/dev/ad0s1e 758127 14170 683307 2% /home
/dev/vinum/raid0 3771230 798343 2671189 23% /usr
/dev/da0s1e 807727 209403 533706 28% /var
procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc
