Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-hardware@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hi, I'm thinking about buying an Exabyte 8205XLE 8mm SCSI tape drive. Should I? I've dug through the freebsd list archives and have seen mixed reviews. Some folks seem to swear by them and others seem to have plenty of trouble. Could some kind soul provide something of an authoritative answer as to whether or not these drives work well with FreeBSD (2.1-stable and up)? Is there anything special I need to do to get them to work?
