Yes this is what I am looking for.
Is there not a client integrated in the ports tree?
Can I not just use a client and connect to another game, just so I may learn 
how to play?
Do you have a good client for FreeBSD?
Or, do I have to configure  a server?

The empire.idlpaper.com site times out for me.  No help there.
