Despite my hopes, using the 2.0.36 kernel and the 5.1.6 driver isn't working. The exact error I get is: ... "Partition check: "sda: sda1 sda2 <sda5 sda6>" "VFS Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly. "Unknown interrupt "Uhhuh. NMI received. Dazed and confused, but trying to continue "You probably have a hardware problem with you RAM chips or a "power saving mode enabled. "scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 89, scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 Read (6) 03 46 9d 10 00 ... Any ideas? More system specs: Adaptec 2940UW with a Seagate ST32550W on id 0, it's the only scsi device. Sometimes, instead the above error, I get get a second Unknown interrupt, and the system locks up, but that's a terrible minority. Oh, yes, is 5.1.11 newer than 5.1.6, or is it a minorminor revision of 5.1.1? TIA, Kenny Stoltz _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
