A manual page is a page in the manual. We identify by a name and section number. In the printed manual, many manpages would be more than a single page. An electronic manual page, called a "man page" is what we refer to, and is not an actual page. Referring to it as a single page in the manual, even if you give a reasonable way to index it, is pretty silly. Really? No, I just wanted to be grumpy like everyone else. -- juli mallett.
