How do I make world and update my system if the compiling breaks and exits, just after the obj finishes.  I get an ld: -f invalid option, on each make depend line.  the whole source tree finishes on make update fine, but it seems that 2.2.1-RELEASE is incapable of compiling 2.2.2-RELEASE.  any help would be appreciated.
