specify the full path to your pager in the PAGER environment variable.
Because of what it does, I was ultra paranoid with things like PATH, so
I'd prefer not to add more directories.

	Well I definitely wouldn't put /usr/local first.. you'd be better off
with PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin if you wanted to do it this way.
