Err, aren't acronyms where the (mainly) initial letters make a "word",
either one that is in a dictionary, or a contrived one? e.g. DOS, SUN,
ELF, COFF, WYSIWYG, GNU, RAM, ROM etc, etc.
SCUBA yes, but PCI, SDRAM, CHP? no.
and how about LINUX - Linux Is Not UniX :-)
