Here is my question: I have 2.1.0 RELEASE of FreeBSD from Walnut Creek. I have a 4x IDE NEC CD-ROM drive in my Dell. I have tried installing using both the atapiflp.bat procedure to make a boot floppy, and by running inst_ide.bat directly from DOS. BBUT, my CD-ROM is still not recognized. IS there something else I have to do before installation? Am I going to have to install from Hard Disk? Thanks for any and all help. John
