I recompiled my kernel with: # hook up the audio, bro controller pnp0 # this is required for PnP support device pcm0 at isa ? port? tty irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 And while rebooting, I see an ESS1686 at pcm0 get probed. Which is not really my card, and I cant seem to connect to it anyhow. Stumped, full on.
