As a workaround, until Xvfb is fixed, you could try running standard X.org
server with the "dummy" video driver.

According to wikipedia it is an alternative to Xvfb:

That being said, I've not tried this configuration myself. But if the GLX
extension is enabled by X.org even with the dummy video driver, things shou=
ld
work just fine.
