There are some incompatibilities between the Intel TX chipset and some Seagate IDE drives (only non-UDMA ones last I checked, but that may have changed). I don't recall the list off hand (it's on a seagate webpage), but there is an indirect pointer to it from the 'bcm' motherboard page.
