Have an odd error. When reinstalling MySQL, I needed to add something's, it says the hostname is wrong, I did a make clean and tried make reinstall --force and everything else I can find. Never had this error before! Nothings been changed since it was installed and my host name is a fully qualified domain name and it's been working great for months. 1. Has anyone else had this error and how do I fix it. 2. How can I completely remove MySQL, I tried make uninstall no go. I would prefer doing this so I can make sure it's clean. None of the other services, Web , Webmin, firewall , sendmail have any issues with the name.
