Well, I've taken my first stab at compiling the kernel, and run into troubles already... :( The 'make depend' command runs successfully, however, when I run 'make' I get the following:
>
>loading kernel
>if_ep0: undefined symbol '_ether_sprintf' referenced from text segment
>if_ep0: undefined symbol '_ether_output' referenced from text segment
>if_ep0: undefined symbol '_ether_input' referenced from text segment
>if_ep0: undefined symbol '_arp_ifinit' referenced from text segment
>***Error code 1
>
>Stop.

I have a 3C509B Ethernet card which works properly under the GENERIC kernel...

Do you have suggestions which might help me out? Thanks in advance for your efforts!

Neil
