I have been studying, not using the computer, so I thought to use the free computer time for prefetching ports sources. It was my understanding that this could be done using the fetch target, so I went and started fetching various things, via ppp. I thought to try an entire subdir, so thinking that the games one would have relatively smaller sources, I tried that. When it got to xmine, it noticed that I didn't have Xaw3d, so it fetched that, which is ok, but then it proceeded to build and install Xaw3d as part of the make fetch for games. Is this correct procedure? I really didn't expect to kick off a build while doing a make fetch ... ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@eng.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 9120 Edmonston Ct #302 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 and n3lxx, both FreeBSD (301) 220-2114 | version 2.2 current -- and great FUN! ----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
