While the boot/installation process is somewhat better, more help on what to install would be useful (I installed X users, the x stuff didn't get installed) Anyone by hand, I untarred the X11R6 bins, I rebooted (to get the right shared libaries). : leisner@compaq.home;type xterm xterm is hashed (/usr/X11R6/bin/xterm) : leisner@compaq.home;xterm Segmentation fault Other x tools work (I'm now using rxvt, I suppose I have to recompile xterm). Have minimal symbolic information (instead of stripping) will allow stack backtracing...also why don't I see a core? (my ulimit -c is unlimited in bash). marty leisner@sdsp.mc.xerox.com Don't confuse education with schooling. Milton Friedman to Yogi Berra
