Hi folks, On Friday, I'll be looking at an IBM ThinkPad T41, 1.4GHZ, 256 ram, 30GB drive, modem, lan, dvd player, cd burner, Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection 802.11b, Integrated Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, 1yr warranty, Windows XP Pro (which I'll leave on, and dual boot). Price: CAD$1720 (that's about US$1300) It's open-box (meaning it's been to a customer, and returned within 7 days). If it's anything like the T22 I had, I'm sure I'll love it. One thing mentioned to me on IRC: load the system see if the fan goes on, then unload, and see if the fan goes off. Perhaps this was for the T40's but I'm not sure. When I visit the shop, I'll be taking my FreeSBIE CD with me. cheers -- Dan Langille : http://www.langille.org/ BSDCan - http://www.bsdcan.org/
