/usr/local/lib/libg{lib,module,thread}-12.so.xxxx.
Better be /usr/local/lib/libg{lib,module,thread}12.so.xxxx as said by
pkg_info and glib12-config.

cd /usr/ports/devel/glib12
make install

Manually change names of /usr/local/lib/libg*12* to remove the dash.
