I need a little help to get the sound to work on my laptop. The sound card is "IDT HD Audio codec" in Windows Vista. My loader.conf has the following: sound_load="YES" snd_hda_load="YES" I think the driver is loaded cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm: 64bit 2007061600/amd64) Installed devices: pcm0: <Intel 82801I High Definition Audio Controller> at memory 0xf6fdc000 irq 21 kld snd_hda [20080420_0052] [MPSAFE] (1p:1v/1r:1v channels duplex default) and mixer Mixer vol is currently set to 75:75 Mixer pcm is currently set to 75:75 Mixer speaker is currently set to 75:75 Mixer mic is currently set to 0:0 Mixer rec is currently set to 0:0 Recording source: mic But I have no output what so ever! I have tried the volume control on the machine, and also a headset without success. I need a hint on where to go now. Thanks /Leslie
