First time posting to this list. =) I have been having panic issues with a FreeBSD desktop system since installing 10.0 on it in January. I have run memtest on the system and it passes a weekend of testing fine. FreeBSD 9.x never had any issues with this hardware. I only seem to get the panics when upgrading ports on 10.0; libreoffice seems to trigger to panic consistently, as will openjdk6. Otherwise, the system is stable and will run fine for months on end without reboot or panic. I have never had to troubleshoot kernel panics in FreeBSD, and would appreciate any assistance or pointers in helping me narrow done what is causing these panics and if there is a way to resolve them. /var/log/messages right before reboot: Jun 27 10:05:17 rstark savecore: reboot after panic: bad pte va a01b59000 pte f000ff53f000fe6e Jun 27 10:05:18 rstark savecore: writing core to /var/crash/vmcore.3 uname -a FreeBSD rstark.munix.us 10.0-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 10.0-RELEASE-p6 #0 r260997M: Fri Jun 27 11:24:54 CDT 2014 root@rstark.munix.us:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 root@rstark /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC]# kgdb kernel.debug /var/crash/vmcore.3 GNU gdb 6.1.1 [FreeBSD] Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
