Maybe.  I'm using picobsd if that matters.

Another oopsy on my part.  I took out the 

load -t mfs_root fs.PICOBSD

in the loader.rc file.  I put it back in and
it works!  I still get the probe failure, 
but it works!

I'm going to copy this to stable for the archives.
